Preparing Your Mobile Home for Transport
Building must be reduced to legal width, length, and height.
Must remove all exterior lights, faucets, electrical stacks, telephone and cable entrances boxes, etc.
Must lower chimney and stacks to roof level and Must remove wood stove.
Must have all water, sewer, power, propane, gas lines and wires secured to bottom of trailer flush or above bottom of frame.
Must remove patio doors and put in temporary wall and weather proofing.
Must remove glass cabinets and glass doors and glass mirrors from walls that were not part of the wall originally.
If bathroom medicine cabinets are not original, they must be removed.
Must put toilet tank lids on the floor on the rug or carpet.
Must lay down large sliding doors.
Must remove glass light fixtures and put safely in drawers or on the floor.
Must weatherproof all openings in home.
Washer, dryer, refrigerator and stove must be solid.
Only home weight can be transported - home contents must be remove from mobile.
Must be winterized with R. V. antifreeze when moving home in early fall, winter, or spring.
Must drain water heater and shut off electrical breakers.
Must have transport permits and building permits.
Must have all legal blocking materials needed on the new location site.
Mobile home pads, must be no bigger than 20"x20"x2 1/2" reinforced concrete, unless otherwise specified by Regional District law.

WE DO NOT SUPPLY: any additional equipment if it is needed to maneuver mobile into place.
WE ARE NOT RESPONSIBLE for damage caused by structural weakness, after market structural modifications, deterioration, and extra added weight since manufacture of mobile.
Double-wide mobiles must separated, have supporting walls installed and be weatherproofed.
Additions with open sides must be prepared as No. 22.
If hitch needs to be installed, you can save yourself money by you installing hitch - we can supply hitch if needed and can install it at our hourly rate.
We charge $315.00 per hour and supply pilot truck and its driver, the pulling tractor c/w dollies
and its driver (each extra man is $30.00 /hr., extra pilot trucks c/w driver may be available at addional cost.)
note: Hourly charges begin from the time the truck leaves Castlegar, carries out it's task, and returns to Castlegar after the task has been completed
Customer is expected to be prepared to pay a cash deposit, based on the estimated cost of the move, when the tractor truck arrives on the job site.
